Gleaning Teaming Brains. An exploration of the lives of Rowland Kitchen and John Yeadon

Rowland Kitchen and John Yeadon were my ancestors, separated by two centuries. They were both in their own ways men who’s minds were teaming with energy and interest, but who found themselves in times and places where there was blocks to the expression of their unusual abilities.

They chose to remain in one place, Yeadon in West Yorkshire and live out their lives. On one level they were ordinary working men, but like many others who found themselves in the same position they found opportunities to employ their potentials. Looking back on their lives they were ‘secretly exceptional’ people.

They almost certainly would not have talked about what drove them and how it felt to be in that life. I’m going to have a go on their behalf
